We were so lucky to have found Winding River Ranch to celebrate our happily ever after. The property is quite magical, and it's far more than an event facility, it's a place you can take the entire family, and never run out of fun or relaxing things to do. The petting zoo is adorable for the kids, or any animal lover. The owners rescue the animals and give them a home, and that's how we would describe the experience. It was like being at our home away from home. The owners became our lifelong friends, and we plan to come back and visit WRR many more times. The wedding was absolutely stunning, and the WRR team did everything in their power to make sure we were cozy and happy. In the end they exceeded our highest expectations....Winding River Ranch is not only beautiful without any decorations, it's one of the most beautiful landscapes we have ever witnessed. The Winding River Ranch is the absolute perfect place to have a full wedding weekend. We rented out all of the cabins and had a fantastic time with our family and friends. From the beautiful scenery, campfires, wildlife (Moose!!), adorable petting zoo, swimming pool!!!, and comfortable cozy cabins, I don’t think you could ask for anything more. We also did horseback riding, ATV rentals, boat riding and golf!!! On the actual wedding day, the girls got ready in their salon area, then dressed in the very charming bridal cabin. The separate cabins were great. The ceremony was on the island, and made for some really stunning photos. Our cocktail hour got rained on, but we used the community dining area to gather, and it was perfect. The reception was in the historic barn, and I love how my whole crew was able to decorate everything on Thursday, and relax the rest of the weekend. I got to decorate everything exactly how I wanted it, at was a really fun time! Travis and Grannie are so wonderful to work with! From the first site visit, to the morning after the wedding, they were extremely helpful, cheerful, and overall perfect. They treated us so well the whole time, and it was such a memorable, special weekend.

We got married at Winding River Ranch 2 weeks ago and it was the best day of our lives. The ranch is absolutely stunning. Our guests were blown away by the gorgeous mountain scenery and wildlife. We even had a moose crash the party! Travis is wonderful to work with every step of the way, he was so accommodating when our original venue canceled on us. We soon realized that our original spot had only done us a favor. We held the ceremony on the island, cocktail hour on the lawn, and reception in the historic barn. There are 2 cute cabins for bride and groom to use to get ready. We were able to choose our own vendors and decorate everything in the rustic mountain style that we desired and everything came out beautifully. We are still receiving many compliments on our wedding and the location. We cannot recommend the ranch enough. Thank you so much for everything. Jocelyn & Joe

We could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding. Not only is the venue and scenery absolutely beautiful, Travis was amazing to work with. They were so flexible and helpful every step of the way. The setup make it perfect for us to have all of our bridal party stay on site with us. Since we had many out of town guests and we wanted to spend time with them before and after, the ability for everyone to stay on-site and have access to the large kitchen/dining area was a wonderful plus. The commercial kitchen made it so easy to prepare meals for all our guests and accommodate everyone in a communal way aside from the actual wedding day. We are so happy we picked Winding River Ranch. We will definitely be visiting the ranch for years to come!!

In real estate they say it's all about location and Winding River Ranch has the perfect location for your needs. The ranch is rustic, serene, spacious, intimate and extremely picturesque. There is something to appeal to any who come to stay. The decor in the themed cabins (ours was bear-themed) have rustic charm to them paired with very comfortable, cozy and new. The Colorado River runs through the property and provides gentle and soothing sounds with which to unwind. There are plenty of animals on the ranch - chickens, sheep and horses (as well as the occasional moose) - for the kids to see up close. The ranch is located outside of Grand Lake and is close to picturesque hiking, Mad Adventures White Water Rafting among other things. Each cabin has a coffee maker, a microwave, refrigerator and fireplace. Also on site is an indoor heated pool as well as a hot tub. If you desire to visit a patch of heaven and unplug this is the place to stay.

I'm so glad we found The Winding River Ranch!! There is no better venue to have your wedding at! Travis was so kind and accommodating! He was so insanely helpful and patient as we set up our event the DAY BEFORE! Our guests couldn't stop gushing about how gorgeous the venue was and it didn't even take very many decorations because it is so naturally gorgeous! I hope we can go back soon!! Both my husband and I can't speak highly enough of the venue!!
